Job summary

Sarnova is hiring an Equipment Operator in the United States. The role requires reading orders, picking/packing merchandise, and using a forklift to move goods. You will also handle receiving and put-away duties, with emphasis on safety and accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, forklift certification, and 2–4 years in warehousing. Prior PC use and experience with carrier shipping systems are a plus in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sarnova Forklift Certification required or provided prior to operating equipment.
• Two to four years of experience in warehousing with 1-2 years of forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with personal computer equipment preferred.
• Experience driving material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Forklift) preferred.
• Ability to use carrier’s computer shipping system for processing, labeling and tracking packages.
• Ability to work in and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Ability to work in fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products while following safety guidelines.
• Perform receiving functions for product, including new, used, service, and returned goods.
• Read customer orders to determine items to be picked and shipped.
• Move materials from receiving or storage to shipping or designated areas.
• Assemble and pack orders from stock and place on pallets or bins.
• Process orders using carrier’s online service and attach packing slips.
• Label packages complying with HazMat shipping requirements.
• Verify items on order for accuracy.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
