Job summary

Sarnova is seeking an Equipment Operator to read orders and requisitions, pick/pack merchandise, and use a forklift as needed to support shipping operations. The role includes receiving and put-away duties and adherence to safety guidelines to ensure accurate, efficient fulfillment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, forklift certification, and 2–4 years in warehousing with 1–2 years forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Sarnova Forklift Certification required or provided prior to operating equipment.
• Two to four years of warehousing experience with 1-2 years forklift experience preferred.
• Experience driving material handling equipment (Reach Truck, Cherry Picker, Forklift) preferred.
• Ability to use carrier’s computer shipping system for processing, labeling and tracking packages.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and stack products within the warehouse.
• Perform receiving of product including new, used, service, and returned goods.
• Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be picked and shipped.
• Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or designated areas.
• Assemble and pack customer orders from stock and place on pallets or bins.
• Process orders using the carrier’s online service.
• Pack items with proper procedures to prevent damages and include packing slip.
• Attach required labels to packages in compliance with hazmat shipping laws.
• Verify items on order for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
