Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty material handling equipment. This is a field‑based role where you'll diagnose across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for diverse customer sites in Michigan.

You will perform preventive maintenance, handle emergency repairs, and log service work for dispatch. A safety‑first mindset, 2+ years on forklift or heavy equipment repair, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Travel to customer sites daily; handle diverse machines and challenges.
• Ensure equipment safety and compliance to operating standards.
• Log service work accurately and communicate with dispatch.

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize customer downtime
• Hit the road to various customer sites—every day brings a different machine and a new challenge
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to solid operating standards
• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team

What You’ll Need

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment (electric, propane, and diesel)
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck
