Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty material handling equipment in the field across Michigan.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, perform preventative maintenance, and minimize customer downtime while staying compliant with safety standards. A company-provided take-home service truck and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment (electric, propane, and diesel).
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize customer downtime
• Hit the road to various customer sites—every day brings a different machine and a new challenge
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to solid operating standards
• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team
