Job summary

Fraza & Vitan Equipment in Michigan is seeking a skilled Forklift Technician to troubleshoot and repair heavy‑duty equipment across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. This is a fast-paced, field-based role with daily travel to customer sites and a strong focus on safety and uptime.

You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergency repairs, and log work for the dispatch team while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing forklifts or heavy equipment (electric, propane, and diesel).
• Strong diagnostic instincts and a safety-first mindset on the job.
• Valid drivers license and a clean driving record for the company truck.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to minimize customer downtime
• Hit the road to various customer sites—every day brings a different machine and a new challenge
• Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and up to solid operating standards
• Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team
