Job summary

Estes is seeking a part-time Dock Worker in Long Beach, CA to load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand and to strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage. You will record the condition of freight on arrival, perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections, and maintain regular attendance in a fast-paced, high-volume dock environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
• Experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck or by hand.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record the condition of freight as it arrives at the service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance; comply with all company policies.
