Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a dock associate responsible for loading and unloading freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck. You will strap, brace, and pad freight to prevent damage and accurately record freight conditions when it arrives at the service center.

Extras include performing pre- and post-shift inspections of dock equipment, maintaining dependable attendance, and being able to work all shifts including overtime and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent background.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Experience in transportation preferred.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and push/pull pallet jack or hand truck.

Responsibilities

• Properly load and unload freight using forklift, pallet jack, or hand truck.
• Strap, brace and pad freight to prevent damage or shifting.
• Record condition of freight upon arrival at service center.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift inspection of dock equipment.
• Maintain regular attendance and be able to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends.
• Follow safety rules, procedures, and code of conduct; work independently or in a team.
