Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) is seeking a Forklift Operator, Non Formula, to move freight within the distribution center, load/unload using forklift and pallet jack, and support safe, efficient inventory flow. The role requires attention to GMP and quality standards and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include organizing storage slots, performing temperature checks when needed, and ensuring accurate data entry for inventory control.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10–35 pounds and generally up to 60–90 pounds, depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, enters product data and location into system.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and/or removes outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to the proper area.
