Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support our distribution operations. The role requires operating forklifts and pallet jacks, locating slots, and moving goods through the warehouse while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The position follows a Sunday-Thursday schedule with rotating Fridays and shifts starting at 5:30 PM until work is complete. Benefits start Day 1, with opportunities for growth and a supportive work environment in a fast-paced food

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift, stack, and/or pull products weighing 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slot on storage racks and set pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items.
• Count incoming freight in staging area and transport to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day's work orders.
• Rotate date-sensitive stock to the front and remove outdated inventory.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Remove empty pallets and inspect pallets for damage; move pallets with pallet jack or forklift.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures per company guidelines.
• Ensure work area is safe and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Prepare supplies required for operations and perform equipment safety checks.
• Wear PPE and meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Work from receiving sheets and established procedures; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Inspect items for damage and perform temperature/quality checks.
