Job summary

Roadtex Transportation in Lansing, MI is seeking a reliable forklift driver to join our warehouse team. You will operate and inspect forklifts, load and unload materials, and help maintain accurate inventory records with an emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Candidates must have at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to pass internal forklift certification training. Physical tasks may involve lifting up to 65 lbs and working in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months forklift experience and/ or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to pass internal Forklift Certification Training and follow safety procedures.
• Able to perform tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring safe and responsible operation of the forklift.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
