Job summary

Roadtex Transportation is seeking a forklift driver to support nationwide LTL operations. The role requires familiarity with forklift controls, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Physical strength for lifting and moving materials is also needed. Applicants must have at least 3 months forklift experience, a high school diploma or GED, and must pass internal forklift certification training.

Qualifications

• 3 months forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Able to pass internal Forklift Certification Training and demonstrate safety procedures
• Able to perform tasks in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions

Responsibilities

• Inspecting the forklift before use to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Loading and unloading materials and goods onto and off trucks, trailers, or storage areas using the forklift.
• Maintaining inventory records and reporting any discrepancies to management.
• Ensuring that the forklift is always operated in a safe and responsible manner
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Reporting any forklift malfunctions or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed
