Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. Duties include loading/unloading, stacking, order picking, and verifying cargo for accuracy and damage while maintaining a clean, efficient workspace.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and prefer 3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends and arrive on time.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and prepare orders for shipment; check for damage or infestation.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners per OSHA standards and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, and battery changes as needed.
