Job summary

Americold Logistics LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. You will load/unload freight, stack/store merchandise, and ensure accuracy and safety in daily operations.

The role requires basic education (GED) and at least 3 months related experience, with potential overtime and shift variations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as assigned.
• Demonstrated attention to details and ability to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to lift boxes up to 55 lbs and tolerate cold temperatures as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage throughout facility.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed by management.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners in a manner that promotes safety and compliance with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties such as inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
