Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach lifts, RF scanners, and related equipment. A strong emphasis on safety and accuracy under general supervision will guide daily tasks in a controlled facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (3 months preferred) and the ability to meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three (3) months of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using appropriate equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, and label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack as directed by management.
• Operate equipment safely in compliance with OSHA standards (various forklifts and RF scanners).
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes and other duties as needed.
