Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to move and stage goods across multi-temperature environments, ensuring GMP and safety standards. This role drives efficiency in our distribution process, loading, stacking, and replenishing stock while maintaining accurate inventory records.

The position requires 6+ months warehouse experience, the ability to lift heavy items, and compliance with drug tests and background checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; lift 10–35 pounds and up to 60–90 pounds depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks; sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items; enters product data and location.
• Locates and counts incoming freight in staging; transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day's work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to front and removes outdated inventory according to policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removes empty pallets, cardboard packing, and strapping to proper area; inspects pallets for damage.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions.
• Puts on required PPE and safety gear; completes vehicle inspection checklist.
• Meets productivity and accuracy standards per location; works from schedules and written/verbal instructions.
• Inspects items for damage; performs temperature and quality checks and takes action as needed.
• Performs general housekeeping in the work area; performs other duties as assigned.
