Job summary

Performance Food Group, through Performance Foodservice, is seeking a Forklift Operator, Formula, at our Glen Allen, VA facility to keep product moving safely and efficiently. You will operate forklift, pallet jack, and reach truck to transfer inbound freight to inventory and stock pick slots for the next day’s orders.

This role requires 6+ months of warehouse experience, the ability to work a Sunday- Thursday schedule with overtime, and the stamina to lift up to 90 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse/distribution experience.
• Ability to work scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 60-90 pounds as required.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler/freezer/dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slot on storage racks and move pallets with forklift or hand stack items.
• Transport incoming freight to inventory in staging areas with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate stock and remove outdated inventory according to policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots; remove debris and maintain area.
• Inspect equipment, perform safety checks, and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
