Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production according to the schedule. You will maintain paperwork and production records, and supply departments with material from inventory as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing materials for transfer, labeling and packing finished goods, and assisting with bottlenecks while ensuring safety rules and company policies are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math and inventory techniques knowledge.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material between inventory and production as scheduled.
• Band, wrap, pack, and label finished goods as needed.
• Transport finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Support production with material needs and bottlenecks.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift equipment startup checklists and report issues.
• Keep inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete and maintain production records.
• Follow forklift safety rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs.
