Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, ensuring accurate paperwork and records. You will support production with materials and stage finished goods for inventory.

Responsibilities include moving materials, maintaining yard organization, basic maintenance, pre-shift checks, and contributing to safety and continuous improvement programs while following company policies.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred but not required.
• Basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Forklift licensing process completed.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, package finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist.
• Maintain rough inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety and CI programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
