Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring correct paperwork and records are kept. You will provide material per the production schedule and assist with bottlenecks as needed.

You will also band, wrap, label, and transport goods, while maintaining a clean inventory yard and completing production records. Must be at least 18 and able to obtain forklift licensing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations and to inventory/production as needed.
• Band, wrap, or pack finished goods and label materials.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment and complete pre-shift checklists.
• Maintain organized inventory yard and complete production records.
