Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory, production, and finished goods. You will maintain accurate paperwork and production records and support production with timely material supply according to the schedule.

Key duties include moving in-process material between stations, labeling and packing finished goods, assisting with bottlenecks, and performing routine equipment checks. Basic math, inventory familiarity, and safety compliance are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods from production to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report problems.
• Maintain organized inventory yard for rough material and finished goods.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and Company policy.
