Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move materials between inventory, production, and finished goods areas, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records.

The role supports production by supplying materials per schedule and maintaining organized inventory. Responsibilities include operating a forklift, loading/unloading, and assisting with bottlenecks while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade basic education; high school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques is preferred.
• Must successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Maintain organized inventory yards for rough and finished materials.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and company policies.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
