Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory and production, ensuring accurate paperwork and records align with the production schedule.

Responsibilities include transferring materials, packing and labeling goods, and maintaining organized inventory yards while supporting production. Compliance with safety, CI programs, and company policies is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9th grade education; HS diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience is preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process from one station to another if necessary
• Band, wraps and/or packs finished goods, and labels material
• Move finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
• Assist production with bottlenecks and other material needs
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report any problems or concerns
• Maintain rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean
• Complete production records as required
• Follow forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
• Performs other duties as required
