Qualifications

• Forklift certification or passing a forklift driver test is required.
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and ability to keep high degree of attention for safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to move material between storage areas, machines, loading docks, and trucks.
• Identify materials and verify against production or shipping schedules; report inconsistencies.
• Maintain tally of material moved and report to production planning.
• Perform preventive maintenance on forklift (propane tank, batteries, oil, etc.).
• Keep work areas clean and orderly; follow safety protocols; may use other equipment.
• Handle scrap materials as needed and participate in projects as requested.
