Job summary

VLS Environmental Solutions, LLC seeks a full-time warehouse operator to process waste in a shredding facility. Responsibilities include unloading, loading, inspecting inbound streams, and safely operating forklifts and heavy equipment in confined areas.

You will perform daily equipment maintenance, keep areas clean, and follow all safety policies. 1-3 years shipping/receiving experience is required along with a high school diploma and the ability to work rotating shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years shipping/receiving and warehouse experience required.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and other heavy equipment.
• Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills required.
• Ability to work independently or as a team in a dusty environment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load wastes in compliance with company rules and regulations.
• Offload and check-in inbound waste streams.
• Move, sample and store solid waste safely per regulations.
• Operate heavy machinery and forklift in confined areas.
• Perform daily PM and inspections on operating equipment.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and report hazards.
