Job summary

Shaw Industries in Orlando, FL is seeking a Forklift Operator II for a non-rotating 8-hour first shift. You will build custom orders and transport merchandise from trailers to storage locations and back for shipping.

Pay starts at $21.96 per hour with potential progression to $22.79 per hour after 90 days, with a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm schedule. Essential duties include handling pallets with a forklift, completing required paperwork, packaging, and maintaining safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to transport pallets between locations.
• Capable of completing paperwork and packaging tasks.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Receiving a pull task with information on the material to be pulled and retrieving the correct material with a lift truck.
• Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from location.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Wrap and band hard surface materials on pallets.
• Prepare and package miscellaneous items for shipment.
• Tape and repair damaged packages.
• Raise/Lower dock plate and use orange cone system for full or empty trailers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Position Overview

To build custom orders to fulfill order requests. Position also responsible for the transport of merchandise from trailers to storage locations and from storage areas to trailers for shipping.

This position is located and works out of Orlando, FL.

$21.96 Per Hour LTO associates have the opportunity to progress at 90 days to $22.79 per hour

Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (subject to change)

• Transporting a pallet by forklift to and from location.
• Complete paperwork as required.
• Wrap and band hard surface materials prepared on pallets.
• Prepare and package miscellaneous items in boxes for shipment.
• Tape and repair any damaged packages.
• Raise/Lower dock plate
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
