Job summary

Shaw Industries seeks a Lift Truck Operator for 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) in Ringgold, Georgia. You will safely move inventory, load pallets, and support warehouse operations while maintaining product quality and preventing damage.

Responsibilities include retrieving inventory, placing goods on wrapping stations, operating the forklift and onboard computer, changing batteries, and assisting with overtime as needed. Must follow safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve inventory and transport to designated locations per instructions.
• Place unwrapped product on wrapping station.
• Operate forklift to move palletized freight as needed.

• Hand-load trailers when requested by management.
• Ensure proper packaging before placement.
• Adhere to schedule and attendance policies.
• Work overtime as required.

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is seeking Lift Truck Operators for 2nd shift (Monday–Friday, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.) to safely move and transport products to and from inventory locations while maintaining product quality and preventing damage or safety hazards.

Job Title

Lift Truck Operator

Position Objective

To move and transportproductsto and from inventory locations, whilemaintainingthequalityof the product, without causing harm, danger, or damage.

Essential Functions

• To retrieveproductfrom inventory bins and transport them toproperlocation as instructed by onboard computer or Management Personnel.
• Place unwrappedproducton the wrapping station as needed.
• Raise or lower dock leveler as needed.
• Use orange cone system for full or empty trailers
• Use Lift Truck to transport palletized freight as needed.
• Have the Lift Truck battery changed asneeded.
• Must hand load trailers when requested by Management Personnel.
• Ensure proper product packaging is complete beforeplacinginproperlocation.
• Must adhere to normal work schedule, starting and stopping times andcompany attendance/tardiness policy.
• Must be able to work necessary overtime

Non-Essential Duties

• Assistin other jobs and duties as needed.
• Perform any duties you are OJT certified to do.
• Helping tokeep the work area clean.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit on a Lift Truck forlong periodsof time.
• Must be able to mount/dismount lift truck 80 to 90 times per shift.
• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
• Must be able to physically handle up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift.
• Must be able to handle rough backing and latex-based products
