Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator II to load and unload trucks and rail cars, maintain accurate paperwork, and support shipping and receiving activities.

The role operates under supervision, following specific directions and company safety policies in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Responsibilities include handling materials, labeling, routine equipment checks, yard organization, and timely completion of required documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 9th-grade education; high school diploma or GED preferred.
6 months to 1 year forklift experience preferred.
Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
Must complete Forklift Driver licensing process.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks and rail cars.
Move material between storage and work areas.
Break packs to correct size and label material.
Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
Complete preshift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
Maintain yard and ensure it is organized and clean.
Complete paperwork as required.
Empty trash and wood hoppers.
Follow forklift rules and company policies.
Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
Perform other duties as required.

Job Summary

Forklift Operator II is responsible for the loading and unloading of material on trucks and rail cars. Maintains correct paperwork and shipping and receiving records are required. Works under immediate supervision and relies on specific directions and instructions.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Loads and unloads trucks and rail cars
Moves material and other products from storage to work areas and vice versa as required.
Breaks packs to correct size and labels material before loading product on a truck or rail car
Provides general preventive maintenance on equipment.
Completes preshiftstartup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
Maintains yard and ensures it is organized and clean.
Completes paperwork as required.
Empty trash and wood hoppers.
Follows forklift rules and policies as described by Company policy.
Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum 9th-grade basic education High school diploma GED preferred but not required
Prefers 6 months to 1 year of experience driving a forklift or operating similar equipment.
Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation & Benefit Information

Hourly/Salary Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00 an hour dependent on experience*

*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
