Job summary

SPUR Freight is hiring a Forklift Operator I to move goods within our warehouse and support inbound/outbound shipments. You will operate forklifts, perform safety checks, and follow standard operating procedures to ensure smooth material flow.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 years experience, and forklift certification. The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and adherence to safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree / GED or Work equivalent required.
• 0-1 Years’ Experience
• Forklift Certification required
• Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge.
• Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered Forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location.
• Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment.
• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
• Perform the following: loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules.
• Perform safety checks on lifts.
• The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team.
• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary.
