Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Forklift Operator to safely operate and care for forklifts, inspect gear before shifts, and maintain accurate stock locations. You will move stock, load machines, and help keep production on schedule within a fast-paced facility.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and experience operating forklifts in industrial settings. A strong safety mindset and attention to detail are essential for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• Prior work experience as forklift operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely and maintain care of equipment.
• Complete forklift inspection form before shift and for new forklifts; submit maintenance work orders.
• Locate stock before runs and deliver to machines on time.
• Move finished goods from machines and maintain organized stock areas.
• Keep accurate stock location records and complete paperwork promptly.
• Maximize equipment utilization and adhere to the daily production schedule; suggest schedule improvements.
• Assist other forklift operators and back up Shipping Lead Person.
• Prepare and submit Production, Machine Status, Safety, and Quality reports.
