Job summary

Spur Freight is seeking a Forklift Operator I to transfer goods and materials within the warehouse using a forklift and related equipment. You will move materials across shipments and support inventory with basic lifting devices and safety practices.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 0–1 year experience, and forklift certification. Strong English reading/writing skills and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school degree / GED or Work equivalent required.
• 0-1 Years’ Experience.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Reading and writing English, knowledge of airport codes destinations and basic geography knowledge.
• Exhibits strong typing skills/or data entry skills.
• Must be detail oriented and able to work in a fast pace, high volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Actively participates in safety policies, activities, and implementations

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric powered forklift to pick-up, deliver or move materials around the warehouse location.
• Able to operate standard lifting devices and other basic material handling equipment.
• Operate machinery to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials.
• Loads, unloads and stacks materials onto lifting device, weighs material or products and records on production schedules.
• Perform safety checks on lifts.
• Follow instructions, independently or as part of a team.
• Comply with all company policies and legal guidelines.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands are deemed necessary.
