Job summary

Spur Freight is seeking a Forklift Operator I to transfer goods via forklift and move materials throughout the warehouse. You will operate forklifts, lifting devices, and other equipment while maintaining safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

The ideal candidate should have a high school degree or GED, 0-1 years of experience, and a forklift certification; strong English reading/writing and basic geography knowledge are preferred. This is an on-site role with emphasis on teamwork and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED or work equivalent required.
• 0-1 years experience.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Reading and writing English; knowledge of airport codes and basic geography.
• Typing and data entry skills.
• Detail oriented in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Active participation in safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manually controlled gasoline or electric forklift to pick up, deliver or move materials.
• Operate standard lifting devices and other material handling equipment.
• Push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products and equipment.
• Load, unload, and stack materials; weigh and record on production schedules.
• Perform safety checks on lifts and follow instructions as part of a team or alone.
• Inspect machinery for repairs and ensure safety with regular maintenance.
• Adhere to company policies and legal guidelines.
• Perform other duties as business demands require.
