Job summary

Wieland in Granite City, IL is seeking a Mobile Equipment Operator I to handle sit-down forklift operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This on-site role requires proven forklift experience, teamwork, and strong attention to detail as you move products and support shipping processes.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with weekly pay and an hourly rate of $18–$20. Join Wieland to contribute to safe, efficient distribution operations.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience and adherence to safety rules.
• Ability to read and understand packaging/shipping documents and PPE requirements.
• Reliability in attendance and ability to work within a team.
• Flexibility to perform General Laborer tasks as needed.
• Willingness to participate in safety meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver motorized equipment following health and safety regulations.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report service needs.
• Position equipment safely before use and during loading/unloading.
• Select products accurately for movement and loading.
• Follow directions from department leadership and collaborate with the team.
• Move and load products from staging areas into trailers.
• Keep work area clean and safe and follow OSHA procedures.
• Attend daily orientations and training refreshers.
• Provide flexibility to work in other departments as required.
