Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain, Inc. in S. Indianapolis is hiring a Forklift Operator I to safely operate sit-down/stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks for receiving, storage and order fulfillment. You will ensure product safety, quality, and accuracy while performing daily inspections and cycle counts in a fast-paced warehouse.

The role requires OSHA safety adherence, good communication, and strong teamwork. Competitive hourly pay with a shift differential is offered, plus benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment including sit-down/stand-up forklifts.
• Must meet PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors with equipment or by hand.
• Safely loading/unloading, transporting, and stacking materials using forklifts.
• Sorting and building products to pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Applying shrink wrap to pallets with machinery.
• Quality control to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
• Maintain storage location accuracy with cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Perform other distribution tasks as needed and adhere to OSHA safety rules.
