Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment such as electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift to receive, store, and fulfill orders.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and accuracy, with responsibilities ranging from loading/unloading pallets to maintaining inventory integrity and performing daily equipment inspections in a fast-paced warehouse environment in Edwardsville, IL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Operate electric pallet jack and stand-up forklift.
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets from trucks or conveyors, by hand or with equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks for loading, transporting and stacking.
• Sort and build products on pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and perform cycle counts.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance checklists.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and procedures.
• Assist with other distribution tasks as needed due to business volume.
