Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I for a weekend shift in Whitestown, Indiana. This role safely operates sit-down/stand-up forklifts and electric pallet jacks to receive, store, and fulfill orders while ensuring product safety and quality.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, transporting, stacking, cycle counts, equipment inspections, and maintaining storage accuracy. OSHA rules must be followed, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment, i.e. electric pallet jack and Stand-up/Sit down forklift.
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors.
• Safely load/unload, transport, and stack materials using forklifts.
• Sort and build products to pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
• Maintain accuracy of storage locations with daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Perform other distribution tasks as needed and adhere to OSHA safety rules.
