Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate basic powered equipment such as electric pallet jacks and stand-up/sit-down forklifts for receiving, storage and order fulfillment. The role ensures product safety, quality, legality and integrity in daily distribution tasks.

Key duties include loading/unloading, stacking, shrink-wrapping pallets, quality checks, and daily equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience operating powered basic material handling equipment (electric pallet jack and forklifts).
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service oriented and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines, by hand or with equipment.
• Safely load, unload, transport, and stack materials using forklifts.
• Sort and build products onto pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Use machinery to apply shrink wrap to pallets.
• Perform quality control to ensure accuracy of all transactions.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections for maintenance.
• Maintain storage location accuracy with daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules and perform other distribution duties as needed.
• Support duties as assigned during business volume changes.
