Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a Forklift Operator I to safely operate basic powered material handling equipment, receive, store, and fulfill orders while ensuring product safety and quality. The role emphasizes adherence to OSHA safety rules, accuracy in inventory, and teamwork within a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to operate powered basic material handling equipment, i.e. electric pallet jack and stand-up/sit-down forklift.
• Must meet all PPE requirements.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail and coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service driven.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyors by hand or with equipment.
• Safely operate forklifts to transport and stack materials.
• Sort and build products onto pallets to meet customer expectations.
• Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
• Conduct quality control to ensure accuracy of transactions.
