Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. in St. Louis is hiring a Forklift Operator to efficiently sort, load, and unload palletized freight on a non-climate-controlled dock. You will operate pallet jacks and forklifts, and use handheld devices to track shipments.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry.
• Forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment is preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed are important.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jacks, forklifts, and other equipment as required.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work safely and in line with company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that may not be climate-controlled for extended periods.
