Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our dock team. You will sort, load, and unload freight using a forklift and pallet jack while ensuring safe, efficient operations on a non-climate-controlled dock.

Starting pay for experienced forklift operators is $28.10/hour with a $1.80/hour night shift premium (FAC). We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, life and disability cover, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in the transportation industry (preferred).
• Forklift experience in a freight or LTL environment (preferred).
• Experience loading and unloading trailers (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
