Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator to move palletized and non-palletized freight on a busy dock. You will operate forklift and pallet jack, sort goods, and secure loads for outbound trailers while following safety rules.

The afternoon shift includes competitive pay starting at $24.37/hour with benefits for those scheduled 30+ hours per week. Equal opportunity employer; pre-employment drug test may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations (with or without a calculator).
• Willing to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends).
• Experience in a dock or warehouse within transportation preferred.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environment preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate forklift and pallet jack and other equipment as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools.
• Follow safety policies to work in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock not climate-controlled for extended periods.
