Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using sit-down/stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners. The role requires adherence to OSHA standards and a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a warehouse setting.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and up to three months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three months of related work experience preferred.
• -capable of handling forklift operations and manual tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight safely using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise and assemble orders for shipment.
• Inspect freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, labeling, wrapping, and packing as directed.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety per OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean, orderly workspace.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
