Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to ensure safe receipt, storage and shipment of food products using sit-down and stand-up forklifts, RF scanners, and related equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a cold-temperature environment.

Required is a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and 3 months of related experience. Candidates must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime as needed, including evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using proper equipment to move products to storage.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders, check for accuracy and damage, label, wrap and pack as directed.
• Operate equipment safely according to OSHA standards (forklifts, RF scanners, etc.).
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, battery changes and other duties as needed.
