Job summary

Eaton’s Fibrebond team in Minden, Louisiana is seeking a Shipping Technician to move modular buildings and power enclosures using a forklift, with a typical 54-hour work week and OT on Saturdays. This role supports safety, efficiency, and precise handling of heavy structures within the facility.

The position requires operating forklifts and coordinating with spotters, ensuring proper torque on lifting bolts, and communicating by radio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, or other industrial power vehicles.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move buildings and components on company grounds.
• Direct movements of the straddle lift and communicate via radio for safety.
• Ensure bolts used in lifting are torqued to the proper degree.
• Spot and direct others during building transport and lifts.
• Place foam pieces on trailers for buildings to rest on.
