Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Fibrebond team in Minden, LA is seeking a Shipping Technician to operate a forklift and move modular buildings on site. The role includes coordinating with spotters, torquing lift bolts, and assisting the straddle lift during transport.

Excellent communication and physical stamina are required to work an average of 54 hours per week with overtime and occasional Saturday shifts, in a facility-focused environment in Louisiana.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work OT and weekends as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift and truck to move buildings on company grounds.
• Hook and unhook cables to buildings.
• Re-rig straddle lift.
• Communicate with spotters or other operators via radio.
• Ensure bolts used in lifting are torqued to specification.
• Assist with spotting buildings and ensure area is clear during lifts.
• Direct the straddle lift operator during transportation and lifts.
• Place foam pieces on trailers for buildings to rest on.
