Job summary

Eaton’s Fibrebond team in Minden, LA is hiring a Mechanical Technician to support in-building requirements for prefab, generator, or AC systems. Responsibilities include hanging air conditioners, waveguides, fire suppression, generator installation, and cable tray work.

Qualified candidates will operate forklifts and various cutting tools, read prints, and install components per specifications. Overtime is required on some Saturdays and core hours are 6:00 am–4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• No visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Minden, LA.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets bill of materials and prints to obtain parts.
• Operates tools like band saw and chop saw as per prints.
• Installs cable trays, grounding, generators, and related components per prints.
• Drills holes and mounts hardware for cable trays and walls.
• Performs duties with supervision and follows technical guidance provided.
