Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator at our Michigan dock. The role involves safely loading and unloading freight, using forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring secure trailer loads.

You will operate in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment, with a day shift starting at 3PM, Monday through Friday. Pay starts at 22.85/hour with full health, life and disability insurance on day one, PTO, holidays, 401(k) with company match, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Available to work varying shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
• Preferred: dock/warehouse or forklift experience in transportation.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift as needed.
• Secure freight inside trailers using required tools.
• Follow safety policies and work on a non-climate-controlled dock when needed.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
