Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to efficiently sort, load and unload palletized freight on a dock. The role uses pallet jacks and forklifts and requires safe handling.

Pay starts at $22.27/hour with the Afternoon Shift (Mon-Fri, 2-8 pm). Benefits are available for those scheduled to work 30+ hours per week. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position, and XPO prides itself on equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Available for varying shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends).
• Dock/warehouse experience in transportation industry is preferred.
• Forklift experience in freight or LTL environments is preferred.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner following company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
