Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator to sort, load and unload palletized freight on a busy dock in Michigan. You’ll operate forklift and pallet jack, adhere to safety rules, and use handheld devices to track shipments.

This role requires 18+ years old, basic math, and flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Full health insurance on day one, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and holidays are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using suitable tools and supplies.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies.
• Use handheld devices to scan and track shipments and update statuses.
• Operate on a dock that may be not climate-controlled for extended periods.
