Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our Grand Rapids dock team. You will be responsible for sorting, loading, and unloading freight using pallet jacks and forklifts, while maintaining safety and efficiency on a non climate-controlled dock.

The role requires the ability to work afternoons and day/evening shifts, with pay starting at $22.85/hour and a benefits package for those scheduled 30 hours or more per week. Join us to support a fast-paced logistics network in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work a variety of shifts due to varying freight volumes, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
