Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is hiring a Forklift Operator to join our dock team. You will efficiently load and unload freight, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure secure placement of goods on trailers.

This role requires alertness to safety policies and accurate use of handheld scanning devices. The position offers health benefits from day one, PTO, holidays, a 401(k) with company match and education assistance, with pay starting at $22.85/hour on an afternoon shift (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Available to work shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Preferred: dock/warehouse experience and forklift experience in an LTL environment.
• Experience loading/unloading trailers and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.
